Due Dates: Draft: Wednesday, May 28; Final: Wednesday, June 4
During the first two weeks of the academic year program, interns will work with their project mentors to develop a detailed work plan. At a minimum, this plan should include: an overall project description; clear overarching project objectives; a monthly work plan with interim goals; and a description of the interns’ work arrangement (e.g. approximate hours, where/how the work will be carried out, etc.) as well as both interim and final project deliverables.

Each intern is responsible for composing at least two blog entries. In addition, to facilitate dialogue and foster collaboration on projects, interns are required to comment on blog posts throughout the program. The intern may write articles about any topic relevant to his/her internship, the seminar or campus sustainability. Comments on other interns' posts should be constructive and thought-provoking.

After approximately two months of work, students will be required to submit an interim progress report. In addition to summarizing the interns’ progress to date, the interim report will highlight substantial changes to the original work plans, discuss critical factors that have facilitated or hindered the project to date, and provide additional details on the scope and content of the final product.

On two occasions, interns who are not directly mentored by IUOS will be required to meet with IUOS staff. The meetings will provide an opportunity for: 1) the interns and coordinator to get know one another individually, 2) the interns and fellows to articulate their personal goals for the academic year, and 3) periodic feedback on the individual projects and seminar.
Due Dates: Outline: Monday, July 14; Draft: Wednesday, July 30; Final Turn-in Meetings: Wednesday, August 6 through Friday, August 8
During the last week of the academic year program, interns will be required to submit their final project reports and/or products. Project mentors and interns will collaborate to determine the exact nature and scope of final reports and/or products.
Due Dates: Draft (due to mentors): Friday, July 18; Review Session: Monday, July 21; Final: Wednesday: July 23
On Friday, August 1, interns will be required to present their year’s work to the Office of Sustainability, members of the Sustainability Advisory Board, and broader campus community. Students should have draft posters finished several days in advance, and IUOS will take responsibility for printing the poster.
