Have electronics to recycle? Try one of these two options:

Take them to The District!

The Monroe County Solid Waste Management District offers free electronics recycling Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at the hazardous waste recycling facility at 3400 S. Walnut Street. See their website at www.mcswmd.org for a list of the items they accept.

The City of Bloomington is also hosting a free collection event for the community this spring.

When: Saturday, May 17, 2014

                9 am--1 pm

Where: City Sanitation Garage

                3406 S. Walnut Street

 This event is a drive through event. Volunteers will be on hand to unload your items.

From 2009 to 2013, Indiana University partnered with The District and the City of Bloomington to host Electronic Waste Collection Days, a free electronic waste recycling drive. 

In January of 2012, The District began offering free electronics recycling for local residents at its facility at 3400 S. Walnut Street.

That same year, the City of Bloomington committed to holding two collection events per year at its facility at 3406 S. Walnut Street.
