Have electronics to recycle? Don't throw them in the trash. Try one of these two options:

Students--Recycle your unneeded or broken electronics at Hoosier to Hoosier Community Sale drop off sites in IU Bloomington Residence Halls from April 25 through May 8. 

Local residents or IU Faculty/Staff--Take them to The District!

The Monroe County Solid Waste Management District offers free electronics recycling Tuesday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at the hazardous waste recycling facility at 3400 S. Walnut Street. See their website at www.mcswmd.org for a list of the items they accept.

From 2009 to 2013, Indiana University partnered with The District and the City of Bloomington to host Electronic Waste Collection Days, a free electronic waste recycling drive for all IU students and area residents. 

In January of 2012, The District began offering free electronics recycling for local residents at its facility at 3400 S. Walnut Street making electronics recycling available six days per week for Monroe County residents.
